Rosy's Ramblings
A woman whose dream of becoming a published author came true in her 65th year
Hello and welcome!
If you’re new here, I wrote a cozy crime novel, not knowing which genre I wanted to write in. My journey began here on Substack when I serialised a story set in a fictional hamlet based on the village where I live. I called it ‘The Mysterious Disappearance of Marsha Boden’ and that was two years ago.
Today, that book is available to buy on Amazon, Foyles, Waterstones and WHSmith. I never thought in a million years that my dream would come true. It hasn’t been easy and there were times when I felt like giving up, but I always remembered what my dream was.
I am happy to share my journey with you, the highs, the lows and all the inbetween bits. I will share posts that are interesting, appealing and, hopefully, enjoyable.

So that my posts can slide gently into your inbox so you can read them at your leisure. I will never try and sell you anything (especially a course on how to write a novel) and I won’t bombard you. I want to make a connection with you. To resonate with you.
More About Me
I live in Shropshire, a rural part of England, where I work as a Legal Secretary, and when I am not working, I am writing or occasionally, I play golf to exercise and unwind.
The link above has some amazing footage of the beautiful place where I live and I feel very fortunate to be able to call it home.
My website rosygee.com has lots more information about me and my other books. I have self-published two collections of short stories and poetry and my debut novel is published by RomaReads Publishing.
I also have two children’s books in the pipeline for publication. The first is Mr Tiddy’s Garden which is due for publication in March 2025, again by RomaReads Publishing. I have seen the illustrations and they are beautiful.
The second children’s book, A Day at the Park, is due out next Summer. I have also written a second cozy crime novel which I am busy editing .
I hope you enjoy my novel and if you are kind enough to buy a copy, please remember to leave a review. Reviews are so important to authors and help enormously in generating sales.
If you have any questions about writing, how to go about getting published, or anything else, please get in touch. You can do that by leaving a comment below.
