Calling All Readers in the United States - and the Rest of the World - if You Can Help
I need your assistance!
Hello and welcome!
As you can see from the above image, Rosy’s Ramblings only reaches a handful of states. I would like to reach a far wider audience and need your help. If you have a family member or friend who lives in another state, could you forward this post to them? I hope that they will enjoy reading my work and subscribe. We need to get more red on that grey map!
The exciting news is that I am planning a road trip to the US in September, kicking off in NY, and then to LA, San Diego and Huntsville, Alabama. You might be wondering why those states. Well, I have friends in each one and am going to visit them - apart from New York - where I will be promoting my new cozy crime novel, which is being published on May 1st. I will give more details of the trip nearer the time and if one of my book promotions is anywhere near you, please come along and say hello.
Rosy’s Ramblings, as you can see from the image above, only reaches 25 countries so let’s see if we can change that and see how many countries we can add by sharing this post. I will keep you updated on our progress!
This is the point at which I would put a picture of the cover of my cozy crime novel, The Mysterious Disappearance of Marsha Boden, but it is still in the design stage. As soon as I can reveal it, I will. I will also post a link, but if you search for it on Amazon, you can actually pre-order it now.
Thank you in advance if you can find it in your heart to forward or share this post in my bid to reach as many states in the US as possible. I will, of course, keep you updated on my progress. Let’s get that map highlighted in red all over!
Another quick update. My illustrated children’s book, Mr Tiddy’s Garden is being published in March by RomaReads Publishing. As soon as I have an image to share, I will, together with a link of where you can buy it. I have seen some of the rendered images and they are so sweet. I wrote the book during lockdown, along with another one, which is being published later in the year, and when my novel was accepted for publication, I thought I would pitch them and see what happened and my publisher accepted them both!
I have been paid an advance for all three books so I think I can safely say that I am an author - a title that I have always wanted to bestow upon myself!
It hasn’t been easy. In fact, I have never worked as hard as I do now, very often working ten or twelve-hour days 6 or 7 days a week. But because I enjoy the work so much, it pulls me through, and even during the tough times I know that all my hard work will pay off. That’s not to say that I will be financially stable from selling my books alone because I have no idea how they will sell, but just the satisfaction of seeing my books online and in bookstores for sale will be reward enough.
If you have a dream of becoming a published author, don’t give up. Keep pushing through, keep writing and keep pitching. It will happen one day. Most importantly, keep believing in yourself.
Have a great week.
